Diwali celebrations in palaces across South India were known for their splendour and flamboyance, and the installation was conceptualized to bring out this regal festivity. Bringing together the grandeur of imperial architecture, textures, colours, and intricacies, a grand palace frontage was recreated to give a palatial walkthrough to the mall. The installation was spread across an expanse of 100 feet and took over 1,50,000 lights to illuminate this grand entrance. Extending the Palatial Diwali theme indoors, a royal diya was created as a lotus inspired by a blooming ‘kalash’ and placed across the mall.
