Rangoli, known for its beauty and intricate details, is the first step of any auspicious activity in Indian traditions. Inspired by the varied Rangoli patterns, the installations were designed to depict the different layers of happiness and festivity during Diwali through thread art. The layers portray the various forms we see during Diwali, such as Indian motifs, lanterns, and abstract forms of Rangoli. The varied colours used in Diwali are represented well with the colourful threads which bind the celebratory mood brought upon by the joyous occasion that brings people together. The contemporary installation captivated the attention of several international passengers commuting to and from the Mumbai International airport.
